SFC Raul Doss

Military Science Instructor

Sergeant First Class (SFC) Raul Doss is from El Monte, CA. He enlisted in the Army in August of 2006 as an Infantryman. Upon completion of one station unit training as a Mortarman (11C), he was assigned to Fort Drum, NY, with the 10th Mountain Division, where he served as a gunner and then a squad leader while deployed to Iraq from 2007 to 2009. Upon redeployment, he was stationed at Fort Irwin, CA, from 2009 to 2011, where he conducted 15 National Training Center Rotations in the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment as a section sergeant and then a platoon sergeant. After this, he was stationed at Schofield Barracks, HI, as a section sergeant in a Stryker unit and was a combatives instructor for the 25th Infantry Division from 2011 to 2014. He was then reassigned to Fort Bliss, TX, with the 1st Armored Division from 2014 to 2017 as an Air Assault Instructor. He then returned to Fort Drum, NY, with the 10th Mountain Division, where he deployed to Afghanistan, Romania, and Fort Huachuca, AZ, as a section leader and senior operations sergeant.

He has been awarded the Joint Service Commendation Medal, the Army Commendation Medal with “C” Device, the Army Commendation Medal (4th Award), and the Joint Service Achievement Medal (8th Award).

He has achieved the Expert Infantry Badge, the Air Assault Badge, the Pathfinder Badge, and the Mountaineer Qualification Badge. His Military Education includes, Battle Staff, Basic and Advanced Mountaineering, Security Advisor Course, Master Resiliency training, Equal Opportunity Course, Basic Instructor Course, Rappel Master Course, Sling Load Inspection Course, Advanced Situational Training, Infantry Mortar Leaders Course, and Combatives 1-4.

SFC Doss resides in Windsor with his wife and two children.
