Major Ryan Raleigh is the Assistant Professor of Military Science (APMS) at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. MAJ Raleigh is from Jacksonville, FL and commissioned as an Air Defense Artillery Officer from the University of Kentucky Army ROTC program.
His first assignment was in the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, NC where he served as an Avenger Platoon Leader and Battery Executive Officer. After graduating from the Captains Career Course at Fort Sill, OK he was assigned to the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) at Fort Campbell, KY where he served as a company commander and assistant operations officer. He also deployed twice during that time to Afghanistan in 2013 and Iraq in 2016. Most recently MAJ Raleigh served as the Battalion Operations Officer for the 303rd Information Operations Battalion assigned to the United States Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Command (USACAPOC).
MAJ Raleigh’s formal education includes all Officer Education System from BOLC through Intermediate Level Education. He has been awarded the Meritorious Service Medal with three oak leaf clusters, the Army Commendation Medal with three Oak leaf clusters, the Army Achievement Medal with two oak leaf clusters, Army Reserve Service Medal, the Air Assault Badge, Senior Parachutist Badge, and the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge (Gold).
